We are incredibly grateful to celebrate an outstanding fundraising achievement by our friend and supporter, Wayne, who has raised over £6,000 for the McMillan Family Trust.
In June 2026, Wayne took on the challenge of cycling from London to Brighton in memory of our founder, Terry McMillan, and his son Brendan McMillan, who were tragically taken from us in July 2025.
Terry believed passionately that every young person, regardless of their background, deserves the opportunity to succeed. Having grown up in Hackney, he understood first-hand the challenges many young people face, but also the transformative impact that encouragement, positive role models and opportunity can have. These values became the foundation of the McMillan Family Trust and continue to guide our work today.
Wayne's incredible effort was inspired by Terry and Brendan's legacy and their shared commitment to helping others. Through the generosity of friends, family and supporters, his fundraising has raised more than £6,000, with every donation helping us continue our mission of supporting young people through mentoring, sport, education and community programmes.
This remarkable contribution will help us create opportunities for young people who may otherwise face barriers to reaching their full potential, ensuring that Terry and Brendan's legacy continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
A Message of Thanks
To Wayne, and to everyone who donated, supported and encouraged him throughout this challenge—thank you. Your generosity and commitment are helping us build brighter futures for the next generation.
Together, we continue the legacy of Terry and Brendan by creating opportunities where they are needed most.
